The first 72 hours are the hardest — but they're also the most predictable. Here's exactly what to expect and how to handle each phase.

Hours 0-6: False Confidence

You feel fine. Motivated. This isn't so bad. Enjoy it — the real test hasn't started yet. Use this window to prep: put your CHEWZ Puffer where your vape used to be. Tell one person.

Hours 6-12: The First Wave

Restlessness. Your hand keeps reaching for your pocket. Your mouth feels empty. Each craving lasts 3-5 minutes. Use your Puffer or Stix immediately — don't try to ride it out empty-handed.

Hours 12-24: Irritability

You're snapping at people. Concentration is shot. This is nicotine leaving your bloodstream. Drink water. Move your body. Go to bed early if you can.

Hours 24-48: Peak Discomfort

The worst of it. Headaches possible. Cravings come in waves. The CDC confirms symptoms peak in this window. Every craving has an end. Set a 5-minute timer each time one hits. It will pass before the timer does.

Hours 48-72: The Turn

Something shifts. Cravings are still there but they're losing their edge. Your taste and smell are sharpening. You're sleeping differently. By hour 72, the nicotine is out of your system entirely. Everything from here is behavioral — and that's exactly what your Habit Tracker and replacement tools are designed for.

You just survived the hardest 72 hours. Everything after this gets easier.
